Let’s eat cake! 

My biggest inspiration comes from the flavours of the Italian Patisserie.  I love to bring a little touch of Italy to all of my cakes & confectionery using traditional recipes combined with contemporary and original designs.

At SSM taste is paramount, that is why all of my bakes, fillings and covertures are made in house, using good quality Irish Butter, Free range/Organic Irish eggs, Pure Madagascan Vanilla Extract, extra quality Belgian chocolate. My cakes feature delicious Italian style light & moist sponge, layered with sumptuous meringue buttercream. Cakes can be coated with meringue buttercreams or chocolate ganache.

Lamponcina
Vanilla sponge, infused with citrus scented syrup, filled with white chocolate meringue buttercream and homemade raspberry confiture.
Nocciolina
Vanilla & roasted hazelnut sponge, infused with delicate vanilla reduction, filled with roasted apricot confiture & chocolate ganache meringue buttercream. (Very Popular with Wedding Couples)
Ciliegina
Sicilian Olive Oil & Chocolate sponge,  filled with vanilla & almond praline meringue buttercream, enriched with delicious Italian Amarena cherries.
Gianduiotta
Chocolate Italian sponge, filled with vanilla & hazelnut praline meringue buttercream and enriched with home made “crema di gianduja”. 
Guinnessina 
Decadent, moist chocolate & stout sponge, filled with deliciously smooth home made butterscotch meringue buttercream, black mixed berries confiture and almond praline.
 

PATISSERIE MENU (Available to order as an accompaniment to Cake orders)

Mini Cupcakes:  Light & buttery. Topped with swirls of our delicious Italian meringue buttercreams and decorated with fresh seasonal fruits, edible flowers or mini sprinkles. Flavours: Vanilla / Chocolate 

Cookies: Butter sugar cookies decorated with vanilla fondant. Flavours: Vanilla Lemon

Lingottini : Delicate & buttery pâte sablèe, raspberry coulis, a surprise crunch and hints of lemon, encased in a shell of vanilla white chocolate and decorated with edible gold leaf. 

Cakesicles : Moist Italian sponge, chocolate, natural flavourings and homemade fruit confiture. Coated in a shell of tempered chocolate & decorated with edible gold/silver leaf & mini sprinkles.

Mini Donuts : Deliciously moist sponge, coated in white chocolate & decorated with edible gold/silver leaf & mini sprinkles. Pure Luxury!

Cannoli Siciliani: Crunchy pastry shells, filled with Italian Crema Pasticciera, dusted with vanilla icing sugar. The quintessential Sicilian dessert.
